Director's Guild of Canada

The Directors Guild of Canada is the premier national labour organization for creative professionals in the motion picture and television industries in Canada. Their members are spread across the country and the web site serves as the central hub for getting the Guild's message out. So when their site needed an overhaul, they came to us.

We started by overhauling the structure to make it much more user friendly and intuitive. We organized the site along several key streams, or sections, so that different groups can better access the information they are interested in. The home page was reorganized to allow for frequent updates and easy access to the latest news. The navigation was vastly improved through drop-down menus and sub-links, so you can get to anywhere in the site with just a few clicks. And finally, we built in a password protected members area for insider-specific tools .

The design has already received accolades from both inside and outside the Guild, and the new Production Resource section has made it an indispensable tool for filmmaking in Canada.
